Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Strategy & Vision:
- Define and guide the global strategy for your assigned category/brand, including consumer relationships and portfolio development, to ensure sustained worldwide growth.
- Articulate the brand's global sense of purpose and distinctive positioning within the market.
- Establish global strategic directions and develop the 3-year marketing plan, encompassing product portfolio, strategic innovations, and growth of pillar-products.
- Own the brand's patrimony and guarantee its identity, ensuring all actions align with its purpose while continually nourishing the brand.
2. Product Innovation & Development:
- Drive the development of innovative products and the renovation of pillar-products for the international brand portfolio.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, collecting, comparing, and synthesizing international market data (consumer, markets, competition, country, digital) to generate actionable insights.
- Develop new, differentiated, and superior concepts consistent with the brand’s sense of purpose, integrating consumer insights and emerging trends.
- Orchestrate the entire product development process, monitoring all involved departments (R&I, industry, packaging, etc.) to ensure operational excellence, meet deadlines, and adhere to "Sharing Beauty with All" commitments. This includes writing detailed project briefs and utilizing piloting tools (e.g., Magellan, Drive, DIM).
3. Integrated Marketing & Communication:
- Create an integrated, engaging, and consistent consumer brand experience by leading marketing mix strategies (IMC/360/Digital/Retail).
- Develop the global communication strategy for the brand portfolio (imagery, digital, point of sale) consistent with the brand’s identity.
- Write comprehensive marketing mix recommendations for product launches and pillar-product renovations, collaborating closely with communication, digital, and retail teams.
- Assist in the development of creative material in line with the brand’s integrated communication platform.
- Prepare country implementation kits, providing clear advice and recommendations on the marketing mix for local adaptation.
4. Global & Local Coordination & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with zones and strategic countries to anticipate specific regional needs and integrate them into the 3-year marketing plan.
- Exchange constantly with global zones and strategic countries, providing support during product launches and ensuring effective go-to-market follow-up.
- Coordinate local Hubs and identify opportunities for local innovation.
- Build, develop, and manage strong and talented teams, fostering their expertise and know-how.
- Define clear messages for top management presentations and guide teams in meeting preparation.
- Steer the budget, including global forecasting, value analysis, brand profitability, and development costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of working experience, with knowledge in product development, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of formula and development complexities within the beauty industry.
- Strong analytical skills related to new product development and maintenance.
- Profound knowledge of global beauty trends, as well as art, design, fashion, lifestyle, demographic, and psychographic trends.
- Creativity and experience across multiple beauty categories are a significant plus.
- Exceptional ability to work autonomously with minimal administrative support, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with fluency in both Chinese and English as working languages.
- Proven ability to prepare impactful slide presentations based on category and brand analysis.
