Role Purpose

This position will be responsible for end-to-end category P&L tracking, monthly commercial analysis, category profitability monitoring and commercial process controls. 

As the CBD Finance Business Partner, you will partner closely with Category Leads, Sales Operations, Marketing, and RGM teams to drive sustainable and profitable market share.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Division-Level Category Performance Visibility & Digitalization

Category P&L Business Partnering: Monitor category profitability (Skin, Hair, Men, Makeup) across products and omni-channels; identify margin improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to category and sales leaders.

Omni-channel Dashboard Architecture: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards at the division level (i.e Power BI). Integrate commercial and financial data across multiple brands (E-commerce and Offline) to provide top Management Team with a "single source of truth".

 

2. Co-piloting Division-Level CBD Strategic Projects

Project Valuation & Tracking: Act as the dedicated financial partner for CPD division-level commercial initiatives. Collaborate with RGM and Sales Operations to review division-level pricing strategies, trade terms, and discount structures, ensuring consistency and preventing cross-brand channel conflicts.

End-to-End Project Governance: Perform upfront financial feasibility simulations, monitor resource allocation during execution, and conduct rigorous post-event ROI evaluations to ensure strategic projects deliver profitable growth.

 

3. Matrix Governance & Business Partnering

Strategic Interface: Serve as the financial bridge between the newly established CBD organization, division management and Brand Controlling teams.

Ad-hoc Advisory: Deliver high-quality, ad-hoc financial simulations and business case analyses to support the Division CBD Lead in making fast, agile, and strategic commercial decisions.

 

Professional & Technical Skills

Digital & Analytics Mastery: High proficiency in Advanced Excel and data architecture; Proven, hands-on experience in building and maintaining digital dashboards (i.e Power BI) from scratch is highly preferred.

FMCG Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of FMCG commercial finance concepts (sales P&L structures, Omni-channel retail landscapes, trade spend, and distributor terms).

Self-Starter & Resilient: Highly proactive, comfortable with ambiguity in a newly created role, and capable of defining own workflows to add value.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: at least 5 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Controlling (FMCG, Beauty, or Retail industries preferred).

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related disciplines.
