POSITION PURPOSE

This role supports Aesop's growth and expansion in the China B2B wholesale channel. The Assistant Manager will cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective accounts across a portfolio of brand aligned retailers (Stockist), Hotels, F&B(Amenity), Corporate partners, and the Travel Retail channel (Airports).

Main Responsibilities

Account management: Manage and maintain relationships with all assigned accounts (10+ brand retailers, 2 airport stores; 50+ B2B amenities clients).

Business Development: Identify and develop new partnership particularly within the Amenity channel that aligned with Aesop's brand positioning, build proposals, negotiating commercial terms.

Operational Excellence: Oversee and ensure the seamless execution of all operational aspects, including:

  1. Utilizing internal systems for contracts/ Account set up
  2. PO/tester processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Tracking payments and deliveries, monitoring customers inventory levels.
  4. Providing timely updates to wholesale accounts with the latest brand assets and documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (marketing, VM, training, supply chain, etc.) to provide comprehensive customer support.

Reporting & Analysis: 

  1. Project follow up & Status update
  2. Sales performance: Prepare analyse weekly and monthly sell-in/sell-out sales reports, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in build annual budgets and sales forecasts.
  4. Financial Management: Deliver sales to target and control spend.
  5. Brand Representation: Ensure consistent and optimal presentation of the Aesop brand across all customer touchpoints.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Living & Furniture/Holistic luxury within B2B distribution.
  • Proven account management skills and ability to drive growth.
  • Strong analytical skills and data proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables are plus. 
  • Fluent in Chinese/English, both written and verbal. 
  • Knowledge and interest in design, lifestyle and F&B developments in China market
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
