KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Define strategic innovation territories
- Detect key consumer, market & trend shifts on the North Asia market : seize weak signals and what is starting
- In collaboration with the OD North Asia team, be the first to detect innovation from CN & JP vendors, answering innovation opportunities and need gaps for the consumer & Group MU portfolio WW, aligned with the global MU innovation strategy
- Propose & validate North Asia MU Studio innovation roadmap with the Global Head of Makeup Studio to ensure relevancy & complementarity to global MU Studio roadmap. Focusing on Makeup expert products (excl. foundation, mascara, lipstick)
Generate & develop winning innovations
- in alignment with the Global Head of MU Studio, create new innovation briefs for vendors with strong perceived differentiation, added value and creative edge
- attend key sharing moments: vendor days China (2x/yr), vendor exhibitions (Cosmoprof HK,...)
- follow up project development with OD team / OD lab / vendor to ensure innovation development within timeline, including feasibility evaluation / safety / price
- frame projects with market context, consumer insight
- define concept, naming and unique product positioning
- share top innovations panier with Global Head of Studio / Global head of MU Inno / Head of R&I / Head of OD / (every 3 months)
Lead & animate the innovation ecosystem
- close partnership with North Asia OD corp / OD lab team (CN/JP) to scout, brief and develop makeup innovations
- close connection with the North Asia Makeup R&I (CN/JP R&I)
- stay informed and connected with the KIC makeup innovation roadmap
- collaborate closely with OD packaging to scout and push new applicators, packaging designs, gestures to pair with formula innovation, from North Asia to WW
- close collaboration with the North Asia Makeup DI to align on key innovation opportunities & need gaps
Foster transformation and ROI
- contribute to strategic meeting preparation to present & transform innovations (innoSAM, PIPE, DMI meetings…)
- Stay connected to North Asia DMIs (shu, 3CE, Hubs MNY & LOAP) to follow up project, discuss opportunities & specific needs ...
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- ~10 years of marketing experience
- Strong prior experience in global marketing leading role, successfully leading innovation roadmaps at international level with a proven track record in the make-up category
- Strong understanding of the category consumers needs and behaviors at worldwide level
- Experience working collaboratively with R&D on innovation roadmaps
- Experience managing complexity and challenging projects
- Experience or exposure to international organization with proven communication skills.
