Key Job Accountabilities:
- Regulatory compliance assessment for cosmetic ingredient and finished product to support R&I innovations.
- Develop robust compliance solutions with cosmetic regulatory expertise, risk assessment and recommendation, to both upstream and downstream innovation projects led by APAC R&I hubs and coming to Asia markets.
- Master internal compliance working process in close cooperation with key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance of product, ingredient and distribution in China and Asia.
- Provide consolidated Asia compliance inputs to global teams with solid regulatory interpretation of Asian markets, to support the global regulatory projects.
- Develop up-to-date regulatory knowledge summary and training programs for APAC region in collaboration with local Scientific Direction teams in Asia, support team effectiveness and upskilling of APAC and global Regulatory Community.
- Claims substantiation and assessment for cosmetic
- New Projects & Ongoing Projects: Co-create claims with diverse stakeholders including Marketing, R&I, Evaluation, and Legal teams. Align claim strategy for innovation, which aids in critical decision-making processes. Create comprehensive claim roadmaps through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, with a strategic focus on anticipating potential next ideas and market trends.
- Risk Assessment & Communication: Work closely with the valorization teams across various product categories to meticulously review and check claim supporting data. Provide crucial inputs and ensure the robustness of data to effectively support desired claims. Provide comprehensive claim risk assessments from regulatory, ethical, and scientific perspectives. Clearly communicate these risks to Marketing partners to help them finalize product communication materials for multiple channels, such as product packaging, TV commercials (TVC), and digital platforms.
- Scientific & Technical Support: Offer dedicated scientific and technical support to the Scientific Direction. Manage all documentation related to claims.
- Country Coordination & Feedback: Coordinate effectively with country Scientific Direction teams, seeking their feedback on critical claim acceptability and risk assessments. Actively support country Scientific Direction teams in answering technical questions regarding claim substantiation in the re-addressal of complaints related to product claims.
- Global Hub Support & Expertise: Provide support and expertise to Claim Substantiation teams in other global regions.
- New ingredient registration
- Support CN new ingredient registration dossier preparation and complication.
- Manage new ingredient registration dossier creation internal and external communication and coordination.
Key qualification requirement:
- Education and Experience:
- Scientific/technical background in related areas (cosmetic, chemical, consumer goods, Pharma/MD etc.)
- Over 5~8 years regulatory affairs experience in MNC preferably in cosmetic industry.
- Qualification:
- Extensive knowledge of cosmetic regulations and technical requirements in China, Asia and worldwide.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Clear mind with logic thinking and strong communication skill to present regulatory solutions on challenging projects.
- Ability to combine in-depth technical insight, specific regulatory context and sound risk mindset into a clear and understandable communications in both oral and written format.
- Strong cross-function, cross-region collaboration to work in a dynamic environment.
