A Day in the Life

As Head of Online + Offline Engineering, you'll be at the forefront of this digital transformation, leading a high-performing team of architects and collaborating across teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions with global impact. You'll be a hands-on technical leader, deeply involved in solution design and development, while also guiding the overall technical strategy across Retail, Operations, Innovation, and Digital scope. Reporting to the Director of O+O in North Asia and SAPMENA IT, your key responsibilities will include:

• Solution Architecting at Scale: Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot solutions for a global user base, ensuring they are fit for purpose, secure, highly scalable, and cost-effective. This includes conducting impact analyses of major changes to ensure compliance with existing architecture and product principles.
• Driving the Cutting Edge: Define and drive the technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives and addressing technical debt through continuous improvement initiatives. Explore and evaluate the latest technologies, such as Big Data, webservices, APIs, and AI/ML, to maintain L'Oréal's position at the forefront of beauty tech.
• Leading and Mentoring Top Architectural Talent: Support a group of talented architects, providing technical guidance and mentorship to foster their growth and create a high-performing, collaborative environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influence: Your responsibilities encompass Retail, Operations, Innovation, and Digital. You must ensure alignment and provide integrated solutions in collaboration with other teams. You will have the chance to shape technical direction and enact meaningful change throughout the organization.
• Operational Excellence and Innovation: Participate in quarterly application upgrades and provide production support to ensure the stability and reliability of systems. You'll also be empowered to identify and implement innovative solutions to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Global & Zone Strategy: Lead the enablement of global and zone architecture strategic initiatives and guidelines in the O+O landscape in North Asia and SAPMENA markets.
• Future Fit Tech Landscape: Ensure the systems and solutions are scalable and are not just for today but for the future. This is especially important as we enter an era of AI, real time and very high consumer expectations..
