Responsibilities: 

Formula Innovation & Development:

-Independently design and execute formulation trials for active/medical skincare products (creams, serums, emulsions, etc.) targeting skin health and specific skin disorders.

-Can initiate technical ideas based on consumer insights understanding & market products technical decoding

-Curious and good learner to build her/his own technical expertise on formulation structures, raw material interactions in the formula 

• Scientific Translation:

Apply basic biological knowledge of skin concerns (e.g., barrier repair, acne, sensitive skin, atopic dermatitis) into formulation structures and ingredient selection.

• Project Management:

Independently manage and deliver projects assigned by the manager, ensuring timely execution from concept to lab-scale prototype and identify the key risks alongside the project

• Collaboration & Communication:

Communicate effectively with cross-functional team collaboration(CMI, Evaluation, SRC, RAV) to ensure product compliance, efficacy, and sensory performance.

Key Qualification Requirement: 

• Education: 

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Biology, Medicine, Dermatology, or related fields.

• Experience:

- Scientist level: 2-3+ years of experience in skincare formulation development. 

- Senior Scientist level: 3–6+ years of hands-on skincare formulation experience, preferably with a track record in active/medical cosmetics (efficacy skincare)

• Technical & Scientific Skills:

- Biological Understanding: Basic biological knowledge of skin structures, skin barrier functions, and common skin concerns (sensitiveness, inflammation, acne, etc.).

- Formula Structure: Good understanding of skincare formulation architectures, emulsification technologies, and key raw materials.

- Can learn & use digital tools to make formulation forecasts
