- Category Insight Partnership with Skincare métier stakeholders R&I China
In the field of skin care related topics, conducting consumer & market research plan (understand market trend, consumer needs, tensions, innovation opportunities), distill consumer insight with relevant and meaningful innovation opportunities
1) Conduct & coordinate CMI studies, with good level independency.
- Write the research brief, work with agency on research plan, screener, guide etc to ensure the right set up to answer the research objective
- Supervise fieldwork and ensure good research quality
- Manage excellent report delivery with clear and sharp insights, consumer tensions that can be potentially translated into innovation opportunities
- Good level of stakeholders engagement, meeting organization and internal debrief
2) Insight synthesis on strategic topics, leveraging existing internal reports, public trend or market report
- Well understand the functions and insight resource from different internal insight departments ( e.g. Evaluation Intelligence, country CMI, market intelligence, competitor intelligence. Etc)
- Carry out insight knowledge consolidation for skincare category topics, by analyzing and distill consumer/market data from different resource including internal report and public report trend.
3) Drive consumer centric mindset by partnership with lab colleagues
- Provide relevant consumer insight by collaboration with chemist in skincare lab, to ensure the consumer centricity for important lab projects
- Proactively promote a genuine consumer centric culture in the skin team,
- Global Innovation CMI/DI Partnership
Play the role of China consumer voice, collaborate with Innovation CMI team from various skincare DA, located in central or other hubs.
- Collaborate on international CMI studies covering China, make sure the study objective, design is relevant to Chinese consumer, as well as can benefit China insights gaps/needs.
- Share China consumer insight to global innovation team on strategic topics
- Big meeting and event organization
- Support big meeting preparation. e.g global R&I management China visit,
- Lead or support CMI event organization: e,g, CMI day
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE & SKILLS
- Excellent skill on consumer research, with good exposures on various types of research methodologies and tools. Strong professional background around qualitative research is preferred while quantitative& big data experience will be a plus.
- 5+ years working experiences focus on consumer research, can manager consumer study with certain independency
- In-house working experience will be value added
- Fluent in English speaking and writing, in a research and business context
- Competent PPT skill
